Transport Secretary Chris Grayling questioned by LCCI members
The Secretary of State for Transport, the Rt. Hon Chris Grayling MP, yesterday addressed more than one hundred London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) members at an event chaired by LCCI Chief Executive, Colin Stanbridge at The Royal Institution of Great Britain.
Introduced by LCCI President, Tony Pidgley - who highlighted LCCI’s priorities for transport as London heads towards becoming a megacity - the Transport Secretary briefed the audience on the progress of a number of critical infrastructure projects ranging from smart motorways and HS2 to Crossrail and airport expansion.

He then took questions from the audience on a wide range of topics including congestion, transport funding and how we can maximise the skills legacy from major infrastructure projects.
Colin Stanbridge said: “In 2016 the Secretary of State gave his word that he would come and speak to our members and we are very pleased he has done that today.
“It was very useful insight and we are grateful for his time speaking to us and answering questions so frankly.”
