LCCI responds to TfL funding update

Friday 25 February 2022

Richard Burge, Chief Executive of the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said:

“We are encouraged by the short-term TfL funding package announced today which will take us through to the summer. However, it is clear that there is still work to be done by TfL and the Department for Transport to ensure that London is not held back by an under-supported transport system. London is a global city reliant on its public transport network like no other city in the UK and it underpins businesses and their growth, tourism and has a significant role to play in making our city more sustainable. London has suffered enough during the pandemic and it is time that our capital city gets back on track.”
