London Symphony Orchestra
The London Symphony Orchestra was established in 1904 and has been the Barbican’s Resident Orchestra since 1982. Each year the LSO presents some 70 concerts in London and over 50 concerts throughout the UK and worldwide, plus an extensive programme of online broadcasts that reach millions of music lovers worldwide. The Orchestra also runs its own world-leading learning and community programme, LSO Discovery, and has released over 200 recordings on its own label, LSO Live. LCCI is also secretariat for the APPG for London as a Global City, which brings parliamentarians and London businesses together to promote London’s global position.
